The Ivisable Disease

I had gotten my spinal tap Feb 18th and unfortunately it had made things worse. I had no idea what the risks were. The puncture caused a hole in my dura which still to this day leaks spinal fluid. I had a blood patch done which is supposed to help in the healing and for me it was not successful. I am very discouraged. when I stand it hurts the fluid leaks causing a headache. I find sitting down causes pressure on my spine and the pressure is very intense.

I do have a diagnosis however. I have gotten the results from this test and I don't have Multiple Sclerosis, but an invisible disease which effects my nervous system. It mimics MS , but it is not not anything of the sort. The doctors are aware of this disease , but cannot say what it is exactly what causes it or how to cure it. I have a form of Dysautonomia - is any disease or malfunction of the autonomic nervous system. This includes postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) , neurocardiogenic syncope, mitral valve prolapse dysautonomia, pure autonomic failure, multiple system atrophy (Shy-Drager syndrome), and a number of lesser-known disorders.

In some cases dysautonomia results in a reduction in the ability of the heart and circulatory system to compensate for changes in posture, causing dizziness or syncope (fainting) when one, eg, stands suddenly. In other cases, the heart may race (tachycardia) for no apparent reason, or the kidneys may fail to properly retain water (diabetes insipidus).

The effects of dysautonomia may be minor, only limiting the patient's activities slightly, or they may be totally disabling, leaving the patient bedridden. Chronic fatigue syndrome is often associated with dysautonomia.

This was the beginning of my autonomic nervous system becoming overactive...

Below is a video which describes my life for the most part. I am thankful my heart is getting better. I have all the other symptoms, but can stand now thanks to someone who is trained on how to retrain the nervous system. A lot of people don't know there is help. Healing the nervous system is a very slow process, but it can be helped very gradually. When it comes to this kind of issue there is usually a virus that is in the body and when trauma happens either through too much stress or a physical trauma it can set the nervous system into havoc. I was under stress a lot of it had a fall and twisted my ankle. It took over two months to get any therapy and my autonomic nervous system became overactive and then dysfunctional. My foot was blood purple from there I started to notice waves of nausea. While I was at my physiotherapy session I was on an exercise bike and noticed I could not exert myself my heart would go crazy fast and my chest would hurt along with shortness of breath. People said it is just de-conditioning, but as a former personal trainer I know the difference. I knew something was really wrong. I had spells and vertigo and severe heart palpitations. My fastest heart rate was 220bpm. Luckily over a year later I hardly have those spells. My resting heart rate is normal and my blood pressure is normal except when I lay down. It can get as low as 40/80. I have a long ways to go, but plan to continue working with the specialist and finding the right diet which is going to create the best balance for my whole body. Raw foods are a gift to know about, but need to be careful how much because I am so sensitive. I am finding that some veggies are better off steamed. Spinach is an example I had no idea I was harming myself eating five cups of it a day at least. Now I have it in salad with other micro greens and loads of sprouts. I have been eating meat, but am being turned off with the awareness of all the antibiotics and hormones, not to mention the bacteria and potential parasites. I eat less meat and if I do I eat wild salmon now. I am working on getting my way back to vegan, but slowly keeping in mind that vegan does not always have all the amino acids needed. I focus on feeding my immune system and nervous system with my diet.

One day at a time, one meal and one session at a time. Getting in touch with what is going on physically, emotionally and mentally. Feed your body, mind and spirit daily and everyone who does this no matter what state their health is in will benefit.
